With the turning of the calendar to October and the leaves here in New England starting to turn, we want to wish you all a great season filled with endless sunshine and happy guests/members.
I am excited to hear of many of you welcoming your H-2B visa workers to your property this week (looking at you, October 1st start date clients!). For you post-October 1st start date clients, we are looking forward to seeing your petitions continue to be approved in the weeks and months ahead!
Thank you all for entrusting Pabian Law with your H-2B seasonal visa petitions. We know that you cannot operate without staff, and we are humbled and honored to play a part in your operations.
A few reminders as your seasons get underway:
- We will be starting work on winter 2026-2027 H-2B visa petitions in mid-March. We will be in touch around December to schedule planning calls and ask you to complete a quick questionnaire surrounding your initial plans for next season. If you would like to speak sooner, just let me know and we can get something scheduled. We are also happy to send you any information that might be helpful for budgeting purposes at any time.
- Make sure to Save the Date for our 2026 Staffing Summit! It will be held from July 20-July 22 in Portland, Maine. Registration will start in the new year, but keep your eyes out for the launch of our new Staffing Summit website (www.staffingsummit.com). This will be live shortly. The Staffing Summit is your chance to meet great recruiting partners while engaging in amazing education (and earning educational credits). This event sold out this year, so make sure to sign up as soon as you can.
- Excitingly, I will be returning to Florida for our annual H-2B Visa Workshops during the week of March 2nd. More information will be coming very soon on registering and attending these events, which will be held in Southwest and Southeast Florida.
- Speaking of opposite-season recruiting partners, now is the time to be creating and solidifying these relationships to allow you to staff even easier next year. We saw that the vast majority of clients that successfully recruited in-country workers for the summer season were ones that have taken time to build and nurture in-country recruiting relationships.
