I hope all is well. Please find the most up-to-date version of our resource, Trump Administration Immigration Actions (2025).
As we all try to make sense of the many Trump Administration’s immigration-related actions and initiatives, we hope that this resource is helpful to understand the actions that are impacting the hospitality industry. We will email this resource to Pabian Law’s clients every other Friday. (This one was delayed due to me being on vacation last week).
Please note an update from the last version of the chart: As a reminder, on July 25th, the U.S. Department of State (DOS) updated its visa interview waiver policy. Effective on September 2, 2025, all nonimmigrant visa applicants will be required to attend an in-person interview at a U.S. consulate. This update affects all applicants beginning the visa process on or after August 28th. This includes workers coming in on H-2B visas. For countries like Jamaica where workers were previously allowed interview waivers, workers and employers can expect longer wait times and delays in onboarding employees for the season.
We hope that you find this resource helpful as we all try to make sense of what is really happening in the world of immigration law. Wishing everyone a great week ahead!
Thank you,
Keith and the Pabian Law Team
