Pabian Law Clients,
I hope everyone had a nice weekend! Below, please find our latest update on the recent immigration actions that have occurred in the last two weeks:
Termination of Temporary Protected Status (TPS) for Yemen
On February 13th, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published a notice terminating TPS for Yemen. TPS benefits will no longer be in effect starting sixty (60) days after the termination notice is published in the Federal Register. Yemeni foreign nationals in the U.S. who relied on TPS for protection and employers employing Yemeni workers will be affected as workers will no longer have valid legal status or work authorization under this TPS designation. Like other TPS designations, we anticipate litigation challenging the termination once the notice is officially published.
We hope that you find these resources helpful as we all try to make sense of what is really happening in the world of immigration law.
Thanks, everyone, and have a great week!
Best regards,
Keith and the Pabian Law Team
